Upon witnessing poor children fighting off dogs to get food from the scraps, drops of tears ran through Srila Prabhupada’s eyes and he said to his secretary standing next to him – “within a ten-mile radius of our temples, no one should suffer from hunger”.
And that was the birth of ISKCON’s Food for Life Program.
